LINING OPTIONS

Unlined

The unlined silk-linen jacquard softly filters daylight and provides semi-sheer daytime privacy.

The neutral woodland pattern becomes gently illuminated when sunlight passes through the fabric. At night, silhouettes may be visible from outside when the room lights are on, so this option is best for windows where complete nighttime privacy is not required.

Organic cotton light-filtering liner

The organic cotton liner makes the curtains completely opaque and provides considerably greater privacy while continuing to filter natural light.

It adds structure and body without creating a fully dark room. This is a suitable choice for nurseries and children’s rooms where privacy is required but soft daylight is still desired.

The organic cotton liner is light-filtering, not blackout.

100% blackout liner

The 100% blackout liner is an OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified polycotton fabric made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

It blocks light passing through the covered curtain fabric, making it the best option for nursery naps, early bedtimes, street-facing windows and light-sensitive sleepers. It also gives the curtain additional weight, structure and complete opacity.

For the darkest possible result, install the curtain above and beyond the window frame with generous side overlap. Small amounts of light can still enter around the top, sides or bottom depending on the rod or track position and the surrounding installation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

A 100-inch-wide curtain is made by joining two 50-inch-wide sections of fabric.

Each 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore have one vertical seam through the centre. This is a normal and necessary part of producing an extra-wide curtain from this fabric.

The centre seam becomes discreet and barely visible once the curtain is installed and arranged into folds. If a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains is ordered, each individual curtain will contain its own centre seam.

HEADING STYLES

Hooks top

A professional woven heading tape is sewn onto the reverse of the curtain. This heading is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.

For a rod installation, the hooks attach to curtain rings. For a track installation, the hooks connect to compatible gliders or runners.

Back tabs

Concealed fabric tabs are sewn onto the reverse of the curtain. The curtain rod passes through the hidden tabs, creating clean folds while keeping the heading hardware largely out of view.

Back tabs are compatible with curtain rods rather than tracks.

Rod pocket

A sewn channel at the top allows the curtain rod to pass directly through the fabric. This creates a softly gathered appearance and is suitable for curtain rods.

Grommets

Metal eyelets are installed across the curtain heading so the rod can pass directly through them. Grommets create clean, evenly spaced folds and are compatible with curtain rods rather than tracks.

MEASURING AND CURTAIN FULLNESS

The selected curtain width is the finished flat fabric width before gathering. Additional fullness is not added automatically.

For standard fullness, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be approximately 1.5 to 2 times the width of the rod or track.

For the especially deep, dense and luxurious folds shown in the styled listing images, choose a combined flat width approximately 2.5 to 3 times the rod or track width.

When purchasing a pair, divide the required combined width between the two curtain pieces.
