Beige Navy Pure Linen Roman Shade, Blue Mid Century Geometric Embroidered Custom Blind, Blackout or Light Filtering
Custom Beige Navy embroidered pure linen Roman shade, individually made to your exact window measurements from thick, heavy luxury linen.
This distinctive corded Roman blind features an intricate geometric mosaic embroidered in rich navy blue, deep denim and muted indigo across a softly textured warm beige linen background.
The brand officially calls this fabric colorway BEIGE NAVY.
The design combines alternating horizontal and vertical rectangular medallions arranged in a continuous interlocking repeat. Each medallion contains an open central panel surrounded by fine radiating embroidered lines, creating a dimensional sunburst, fan-stitch or architectural picture-frame effect.
Short navy embroidered dash marks appear inside the center of every rectangle. The dashed line runs horizontally through the wider rectangular motifs and vertically through the taller motifs, emphasizing the alternating direction of the design.
Deep navy connector blocks appear where the surrounding rectangles meet, joining the individual motifs into a structured geometric mosaic. The combination of framed rectangles, radiating linework, central dashes and solid navy blocks gives the pattern a refined mid-century modern character.
Choose between an organic cotton light-filtering liner for softly diffused daylight or a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX certified non-toxic polycotton liner for maximum darkness, privacy and light control.
The substantial pure linen face fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and has the authentic woven texture, natural yarn variation and luxurious weight associated with genuine linen.
This made-to-measure Roman shade works beautifully in mid-century modern, contemporary, coastal, organic modern, Scandinavian, transitional, modern farmhouse, modern traditional, nautical and sophisticated blue-and-neutral interiors.
Each Roman blind is individually produced according to the exact finished width and height entered in the Etsy order details email.

DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The brand identifies this fabric colorway as Beige Navy.
The pure linen background is a softly natural beige rather than a yellow cream, dark brown or stark white.
Its color combines:
Warm beige
Natural flax
Pale oatmeal
Light greige
Soft mushroom beige
Muted linen tan
Subtle stone undertones
The natural woven linen surface creates delicate tonal variation throughout the background. Individual lighter and slightly deeper yarns remain visible, giving the fabric an authentic textile appearance rather than a flat or completely uniform finish.
The embroidered pattern is a rich, saturated navy blue. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the thread may also reveal undertones of:
Classic naval blue
Deep denim blue
Muted indigo
Ink blue
Dark coastal blue
Subtle blue-black
The navy embroidery is dark enough to create strong definition against the beige linen but still reads clearly as blue rather than black.
Some areas of the pattern appear deeper because they contain solid navy embroidery, particularly the connecting blocks positioned between the framed medallions.
Other areas appear lighter and more open because they are formed from fine radiating embroidered lines with visible beige linen between the stitches.
This contrast gives the pattern depth and texture without introducing additional colors.
Under bright natural daylight, the beige background may appear lighter and slightly cooler, while the embroidery may look like a clear classic navy or deep denim blue.
Under warm indoor lighting, the linen may appear more oatmeal or flax colored, while the navy embroidery may look deeper and more muted.
The Beige Navy palette coordinates beautifully with:
Warm-white and ivory walls
Cream or pale beige walls
Greige and light taupe walls
Navy feature walls
Natural oak furniture
White oak and ash wood
Walnut and dark wood furniture
White-painted furniture
Black metal accents
Antique brass lighting
Brushed nickel hardware
Natural stone
Travertine and white marble
Cream and oatmeal upholstery
Navy cushions and bedding
Denim-blue textiles
Camel and cognac leather
Rattan and cane furniture
Woven baskets
Jute and wool rugs
Blue-and-white ceramics
Coastal artwork
Mid-century wooden furniture
Neutral contemporary furnishings
DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The face fabric features a repeating geometric mosaic composed of alternating horizontal and vertical rectangular medallions.
Wide rectangular motifs are positioned horizontally, while narrower neighboring motifs are rotated vertically. This alternating orientation creates rhythm, movement and an orderly architectural layout across the linen.
Each medallion contains a smaller open rectangle at its center.
Fine navy embroidered lines radiate outward from the inner panel toward the larger surrounding frame. These radiating lines create a visual effect similar to:
Sunburst stitching
Radiating fan embroidery
Framed geometric linework
Architectural picture-frame motifs
Mid-century rectangular forms
Retro geometric blocks
Linear mosaic embroidery
Abstract window-shaped medallions
Modern geometric textile art
The radiating stitches spread outward from the inner rectangle toward the outer border, creating a dimensional framed appearance.
A short row of embroidered dash marks appears inside the open center of each medallion.
The central dashes run horizontally through the wide rectangular motifs and vertically through the tall rectangular motifs. This directional detail reinforces the alternating placement of the design.
The outer edges of the medallions are defined with navy embroidered borders. Small solid navy square or rectangular blocks appear where the surrounding shapes meet, visually connecting the separate frames into one continuous pattern.
The design may accurately be described as:
Geometric rectangle embroidery
Square mosaic pattern
Mid-century modern geometry
Abstract block pattern
Radiating rectangle motif
Modern architectural embroidery
Retro geometric lattice
Interlocking framed medallions
Navy embroidered mosaic
Linear geometric pattern
Blue geometric window treatment
The embroidery is visibly raised above the flatter woven linen background, creating tactile dimension and soft natural shadows.
The open centers and generous areas of beige linen keep the design balanced and prevent it from appearing excessively dark or crowded.
From a distance, the fabric reads as an elegant beige-and-navy geometric pattern.
At closer range, the individual radiating stitches, central dash marks, embroidered borders, solid connector blocks and natural linen texture become more prominent.
Because every Roman shade is made to individual measurements, the exact number and position of complete rectangular motifs will depend on the finished width, finished height and fabric-cutting position.
Some custom sizes may begin or finish with partially cropped motifs along the sides, top or bottom. Wider shades will naturally display a greater number of complete geometric repeats.
WHY CHOOSE THIS CUSTOM ROMAN SHADE
This made-to-measure Roman blind combines practical window coverage with the natural texture of heavy pure linen and the decorative dimension of detailed embroidery.
The substantial linen gives the shade body, structure and a tailored designer-quality appearance.
The warm beige background keeps the Roman shade versatile and easy to coordinate, while the dark navy embroidery introduces definition, contrast and architectural character.
Unlike a completely plain beige or navy Roman shade, this fabric provides a distinctive geometric statement without relying on an ornate floral design or a heavily multicolored palette.
The combination of alternating rectangles, radiating lines, central dashes and solid connector blocks creates a clear mid-century modern influence that also works beautifully in coastal, contemporary, Scandinavian and transitional homes.
The dark navy embroidery gives the shade a strong visual presence, while the open beige centers prevent the design from feeling heavy.
When fully lowered, the Roman blind displays the complete embroidered rectangular mosaic across the window.
When raised, the linen gathers into structured horizontal Roman folds near the lower portion of the shade. The raised embroidery remains visible across the folds and creates gentle variations in texture, light and shadow.

LINER OPTIONS
The selected liner must be entered in the Etsy order details email together with the exact measurements and mounting method.
OPTION 1: ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner gently softens incoming daylight while allowing a comfortable natural glow to remain in the room.
It adds body and structure to the heavy embroidered linen, improves privacy and gives the reverse side of the Roman shade a clean, finished appearance.
The organic cotton light-filtering liner is recommended for:
Living rooms
Dining rooms
Kitchens
Breakfast nooks
Home offices
Guest bedrooms
Libraries
Reading corners
Dressing rooms
Hallways
Bathrooms where complete darkness is not required
Light filtering does not mean blackout. Natural daylight will continue to pass softly through the lined Roman shade.
The exact light-filtering result will depend on:
The direction of the window
The intensity of the sunlight
The time of day
The season
The surrounding room lighting
The beige linen background may appear brighter when direct daylight passes through it. The visibility and contrast of the navy embroidery may also change according to the direction and intensity of the light.
The organic cotton light-filtering liner is suitable when you want softened glare, increased privacy and a naturally illuminated room rather than complete darkness.
OPTION 2: 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
The blackout option uses a non-toxic OEKO-TEX certified polycotton liner made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
This liner is designed to block light from passing through the face fabric and is recommended for rooms requiring maximum darkness, increased privacy and stronger light control.
The 100% blackout liner is particularly suitable for:
Primary bedrooms
Guest bedrooms
Nurseries
Children’s bedrooms
Media rooms
Home theaters
Street-facing windows
Rooms receiving strong morning sunlight
Rooms requiring greater nighttime privacy
The blackout liner blocks light through the fabric itself.
A narrow amount of light may remain visible around the outer edges of an inside-mounted Roman shade because fitting clearance is required for smooth movement within the window recess.
For the darkest possible result, choose an outside-recess installation with sufficient overlap around the top, bottom and both sides of the window opening.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An inside-recess or inside-mount Roman shade is fitted within the window opening for a clean, streamlined and built-in appearance.
1. Use a rigid metal measuring tape rather than a flexible fabric measuring tape.
2. Measure the internal recess width in three places: across the top, middle and bottom.
3. Record the smallest of the three width measurements.
4. Measure the internal recess height in three places: on the left, in the center and on the right.
5. Record the longest of the three height measurements.
6. Enter the exact recess width and height in the order details email.
7. Do not make your own width deduction. The necessary manufacturing allowance will be applied while making the Roman shade so it can operate smoothly within the recess.
8. Check that the recess has sufficient clear and flat space for the Roman-blind mechanism and mounting clamps.
9. Check for projecting window handles, locks, alarm sensors, tiles, molding, trim or other obstructions that could interfere with the movement of the shade.
10. Measure at the exact depth where the mounting clamps and Roman-blind mechanism will be installed.
11. Measure every window separately, even when several windows appear identical.
12. Do not provide only the dimensions of an existing blind because those measurements may already include manufacturing deductions.
INSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Top width: 35.50 inches
Middle width: 35.25 inches
Bottom width: 35.375 inches
Width to enter: 35.25 inches
Left height: 64.25 inches
Center height: 64.50 inches
Right height: 64.375 inches
Height to enter: 64.50 inches
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An outside-recess or outside-mount Roman shade is installed on the wall or window frame above and around the window opening.
This installation can provide increased privacy, improved coverage around the edges and a more prominent decorative appearance.
1. Measure the width of the uncovered window opening.
2. Decide how much the finished Roman shade should overlap on each side.
3. Where sufficient space is available, add approximately 2–3 inches or 5–7.5 cm to both the left and right sides.
4. The complete measurement, including the selected overlap, will be the finished Roman-shade width entered in the order details email.
5. Decide where the upper mounting clamps will be positioned.
6. Measure vertically from the planned upper mounting position to the exact point where the bottom of the Roman shade should finish.
7. Include the desired overlap above and below the window opening.
8. Enter the complete finished shade width and height rather than only the dimensions of the uncovered glass.
9. Check for projecting handles, vents, switches, molding, trim and other obstructions.
10. Confirm that sufficient flat surface is available for securely fitting the mounting clamps.
11. No width deduction is normally applied to an outside-recess finished measurement.
For a blackout Roman shade, generous overlap around all four sides can help reduce the amount of light entering around the outer edges.
OUTSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Window-opening width: 34 inches
Left-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Right-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Finished Roman-shade width to enter: 39 inches
Measure the finished height from the planned upper mounting position to the exact point where the bottom of the shade should finish.
INSTALLATION HARDWARE
Mounting clamps and screws are included with the Roman shade.
Inside-recess and outside-recess installations require different mounting clamps.
Please clearly state the intended installation method in the order details email so the correct clamps can be supplied.
Inside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind within the window opening.
Outside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind to the wall or window frame outside the opening.
The suitability of the supplied screws will depend on the material and condition of the installation surface.
Suitable wall plugs, anchors or specialist fixings may be required for plasterboard, tile, concrete, masonry, hollow walls or other surfaces.
Professional installation is recommended whenever the mounting surface or installation method is uncertain.
IMPORTANT NATURAL LINEN INFORMATION
Pure linen naturally contains slubs, small yarn variations and subtle differences in weave density. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and are not considered defects.
Minor variations may occur in the beige linen background or navy embroidery between separate fabric batches.
The exact placement of the embroidered geometric pattern will vary according to the custom measurements and the section of fabric used.
The rectangular motifs may be partially cropped along the sides, top or bottom of the finished Roman shade.
The raised embroidery may create gentle natural variation in the surface and horizontal folds of the blind.
Actual colors may vary slightly because of photography, screen calibration, natural daylight, artificial lighting and surrounding room décor.
Please review every measurement carefully before ordering because each Roman shade is individually made according to the information supplied.
