Measuring guide for inside recess mount:

Inside recess means the Roman shade will be fitted within the window frame or window opening.

Step 1: Measure the inside width of your window recess in three places: top, middle, and bottom.

Step 2: Use the smallest width measurement.

Step 3: Measure the inside height of the recess in three places: left, centre, and right.

Step 4: Use the full height measurement you want the shade to cover.

Step 5: Enter the exact recess measurements in the personalization box and clearly mention “inside recess.”

Step 6: Make sure there is enough depth inside the recess for the Roman shade hardware and folded fabric stack.

Measuring guide for outside recess mount:

Outside recess means the Roman shade will be fitted on the wall, frame, or trim outside the window opening.

Step 1: Measure the full area you want the Roman shade to cover.

Step 2: For better privacy and light control, add extra width on both sides of the window where possible.

Step 3: For blackout use, outside recess fitting is usually better because it helps reduce side light gaps.

Step 4: Measure from the point where you want the top of the shade to start down to where you want it to finish.

Step 5: Enter the exact finished shade size in the personalization box and clearly mention “outside recess.”
