Measuring guide

Inside mount (within recess)

Width: Measure inside recess width at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.

Height: Measure inside recess height in 2–3 places. Use the largest measurement.

Inside mount gives a clean, built-in look.

Outside mount (outside recess)

Width: Measure how wide you want coverage (often window width plus extra on both sides for better light control).

Height: Measure from where you’ll install above the window to where you want the shade to end.

Outside mount is ideal if the recess is shallow or if you want to reduce side light gaps.
