COLOR & PATTERN

The face fabric has a warm ivory to creamy off-white linen background rather than a stark optic white.

Across the ivory ground is a repeating large-scale ornamental damask medallion woven in a soft muted gray-greige.

The secondary shade can be described as:

It is not a dark charcoal gray and it does not have the cold blue cast associated with silver gray.

The jacquard design is made up of large, vertically arranged symmetrical damask medallions with ornate floral scrollwork, curved decorative flourishes and smaller ornamental motifs positioned between the principal medallions.

The woven areas have a softly distressed or antique appearance, giving the pattern depth and the character of an aged European textile without introducing strong color contrast.

From a distance, the Roman shade reads as a sophisticated ivory and pale gray neutral window treatment. At closer range, the intricate woven damask structure and natural linen texture become more visible.

Because the design is jacquard woven into the fabric, it is not a printed surface pattern and it is not embroidery.

Pattern placement will vary according to the exact finished width and height of each blind. Motifs may be cropped differently at the sides, top or bottom because every shade is individually cut from the continuous fabric repeat.

OPTION 1 — ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the organic cotton lining when you want privacy while retaining softly filtered natural daylight.

The cotton liner:

Allows diffused daylight through the shade
Adds privacy
Gives additional body and structure to the Roman blind
Provides a softer light-filtering effect than blackout lining

This option is ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, home offices and other spaces where privacy is wanted without completely darkening the room.

OPTION 2 — 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX POLYCOTTON LINER

Choose the blackout liner for bedrooms, media rooms or spaces where maximum light blocking through the fabric is preferred.

Blackout liner composition:

50% cotton
50% polyester

The blackout fabric is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified and tested for harmful substances.

This liner is designed to block light through the lined Roman shade fabric.

Please remember that even a 100% blackout fabric cannot prevent light from entering around the outer edges of a window treatment. The amount of edge light will depend on whether the shade is installed inside or outside the recess, the shape of the window and the amount of overlap around the opening.

An inside-recess Roman shade sits within the window opening for a neat, integrated appearance.

1. Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions

4. Measure the exact recess height. Do not make any deductions

5. Enter these exact recess measurements in the order details email.

6. Do not make your own manufacturing deductions unless we have specifically asked you to do so.

7. Select “Inside Recess” in your personalization details so we can supply the appropriate inside-mount clamps.

If your window recess is unusually shallow or contains handles, vents or other obstructions, please contact us before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE — OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside-mounted Roman shade sits over the window opening and can provide greater coverage around the sides of the window.

For good coverage, we generally recommend approximately 2 inches / 5 cm of overlap on each side where space permits.

1. Measure the width of the window or frame.

2. Add approximately 2 inches / 5 cm to the LEFT side.

3. Add approximately 2 inches / 5 cm to the RIGHT side.

This gives approximately 4 inches / 10 cm of additional overall width.

4. For the height, begin approximately 4 inches / 10 cm above the window frame where practical.

5. Measure down to the exact point at which you would like the Roman shade to finish.

6. Enter the resulting desired FINISHED SHADE WIDTH and HEIGHT in the order details email.

7. Select “Outside Recess” so the appropriate outside-mount clamps can be supplied.

Example:

Window width: 36 inches / 91.4 cm

Recommended shade width with approximately 2 inches overlap on each side:

40 inches / 101.6 cm

INSTALLATION HARDWARE INCLUDED

This is a functional cord-operated Roman blind.
